5 8 Of A Pizza
Michelle ordered two large pizzas. Each pizza was cut into eight slices of equal size. She gave ane/2 of the pizza to Chris, iii/8 of a pizza to John, and 1/iv of a pizza to Emerge. How many slices of pizza were left?
Best Answer
Well first you want to get the denominators to be matching
then 1/2 = 4/8 and 1/iv = ii/8.
So add them together (Make the denominator xvi since there is two pizzas)
4/16 + 2/16 + iii/16 = ix/16
To discover the remaining
16/sixteen - 9/16 = seven/xvi
Simplify if possible, but you can't in this problem.
So the answer is 7/16 slices are left
Well commencement yous want to go the denominators to be matching
then one/2 = four/viii and ane/4 = 2/8.
Then add them together (Make the denominator 16 since there is ii pizzas)
iv/sixteen + 2/16 + 3/16 = 9/16
To notice the remaining
xvi/xvi - 9/16 = seven/16
Simplify if possible, only you tin can't in this trouble.
So the reply is seven/16 slices are left
I think I messed upwardly, someone correct me if i'm wrong
Michelle ordered two large pizzas. Each pizza was cut into eight slices of equal size. She gave one/2 of the pizza to Chris, 3/viii of a pizza to John, and 1/4 of a pizza to Sally. How many slices of pizza were left?
Your percentages don't add together up correct: 1/two + iii/eight +1/4=1 one/8 is wrong. They must exist equal to or less than 1.
FIrst turn all the fractions into 8ths (this is bold she gave one/ii of A pizza to Chris)
1/2 =iv / 8 to Chris
three/viii to John
1/4 = 2 /viii to Sally
2 pizzas = xvi/8 pizzas
SO the question says she gave abroad 4/eight + 3/8 + 2/8 = 9/8ths of the pizza
16/8 - 9/8 = 7/8 of a pizza left (seven slices)
IF she gave 1/two of THE (two) pizzas to Chris she is left with 1 pizza (8 slices)
then she gives iii/8 to John she now has 5/8 pizza left (5 slices)
then she gives 2/8ths to Emerge then she is left with three/8th pizza (3 slices)
The wording of the pizza she gave to Chris is a trivial unclear.
It is really smashing to see these wonderful answerers from guests.

WRITE AN IMPROPER FRACTION Every bit A MIXED NUMBER/Convert THE 2 THINGS. 31/5 well u will need to divide 31 divided past 5 five goes into three nada times five goes into 31 half dozen times which would be 30 31-30=i then it is 6 ane/v that is how u catechumen a improper fraction.
WRITE A MIXED NUMBER As A FRACTON IT IS EXTREMLY EASY ONLY 2 STEPS let us do 7 3/4 well what u do is u multiply seven and 4 which is 28 so u add 3 which is 31 the denominator stays the same so information technology is 31/four
